A Night on the Vine

Sunday, October 21 2012 Fans Across America Charitable Foundation celebrated their growing impact and success assisting Homeless Students, Homeless Families in Transition with Children in School and Families with Seriously Ill and Special needs Children with a Wine Tasting Event, A Night on the Vine.

Bringing together some of the individuals who have been aided by Fans with our Corporate Sponsors and Individual Supporters, A Night on the Vine at Vine Expressions in Gilbert, AZ touched all in attendance.

“This event was for the Families and Children we serve as well as those that support and believe in Fans,” Executive Director George Macedon said. “All in attendance were truly touched and walked away absolutely believing in Fans, in all we do assisting the Kids and Families we serve, and the passion we have.”

The program told of the mission and successes of Fans, and included speeches from some who have been assisted thanks to Donor support. The Chandler San Tan Rotary Crown Rotary presented a $1000.00 donation to Fans and pledged future support as one of their Charities of Choice.

Besides wine tasting of 16 premium wines, appetizers, music, raffle items and silent auction; door prizes were awarded throughout the evening. A fun and uplifting time for all.

In attendance were our event sponsors which included H2 Photography, Touched by Music, LLC, Nationwide Insurance, Arizona Recycling, Corp., First Credit Union, Oasis Green Landscaping, Heddon, George and Booth PLLC, CPA's; Donna Kohlase , State Farm Agent; Maracay Homes, Early Warning Services, Arizona Pest Prevention, Red Mountain Air Conditioning, East Valley Tribune and 202 Magazine.

"It was outstanding to see close to 100 supporters who have a touch point with Fans come together," Macedon said.

Another reason to celebrate, Fans recently qualified as a State of Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit Non-Profit. With this designation, State of Arizona Tax Payers who contribute up to $400.00 ($200 for individual tax filers) to Fans by December 31, 2012 will receive a matching Tax Credit from the State of Arizona when their taxes are filed.

In 2012 Fans will have assisted over 400 Chandler Unified School District Homeless Students, 150 Chandler Families in Transition, 198 Homeless Students attending Tempe Children First Academy, and have provided assistance, with over 14,000 items of need, to ICAN, Fresh Start Women's Foundation, Sojourner Domestic Violence Center, Mosaic Arizona, and the Clothes Cabin. 456 fully stocked Backpacks supplied by Intel Corporation and Bright Beginnings Charter School have been distributed since the beginning of the 2012 / 2013 school year to less fortunate students and through the support of Intel Corporation over 1000 Holiday Gifts will be distributed by Fans in December 2012./
