Children Coping with Family Violence and living in Violent Homes statistically are prone to school dropout, teen pregnancy, being abused or being an abuser, runaways, substance abuse, sexual assaults, date rape violence at school and food addictions. Providing love, care and education for these children is the starting point for their success in a non violent upbringing.
Providing a safe haven for the women and their children who are victims of this horrible crime helps them empower themselves through education, determination, allowing them to an independent life free from domestic abuse.
“On behalf of my family I would like to thank you for all of the clothes, school supplies and household items that were provided to us by FANS Across America. Having found the strength to leave an abusive marriage of 22 years and escape with my 11 children after a death threat, I was not sure how I was going to survive. FANS was so generous to us- even with 11 children—they didn’t shy away from helping an extraordinarily big family. We are so grateful!”
